Derek Desranleau, son of Darrell Desranleau of Milton and Karin Paulsen of Colchester of Milton, is spending the spring 2011 semester studying abroad in Rome, Italy, through a program run by Saint Michael's College. Desranleau is a student at Richmond, The American University.

Desranleau ,a junior business administration major at Saint Michael's, a liberal arts, residential Catholic, college located in Burlington, Vermont, one of the top 10 college towns in America, graduated from Rice Memorial High School before coming to Saint Michael's.
