Kaitlyn Newdorf of Auburn Named to the National Economics Honor Society at Saint Michael's College

Kaitlyn Newdorf, daughter of Charles and Iris Newdorf of Auburn, is one of 12 Saint Michael's College students named to the Saint Michael's chapter of Omicron Delta Epsilon, the national economics honor society. Nine are newly inducted senior students, and three were named last year when they were juniors.

Newdorf, a senior economics and French double major, graduated from Manchester Memorial High School before coming to Saint Michael's, located in Burlington, Vermont, one of the top 10 college towns in the country.

The newly name students will be inducted into the honor society in ceremonies to be held April 11 at 4 p.m. in St. Edmund's Hall at the college. A talk will be given at the induction ceremonies by Dr. Joseph Quinn, James P. McIntyre Professor of Economics at Boston College. Dr. Quinn is speaking on "The Entitlement Crisis and Social Security (The Easy Part)."
