Nicholas Hogan of Bossier City Awarded a $3,700 Saint Michael's College VP for Academic Affairs Research Fellowship for Summer 2012

Nicholas Hogan, son of David Hogan of Dallas and Sharon Graham of Bossier City has been awarded a Saint Michael's College Vice President for Academic Affairs Research Fellowship to support research during summer 2012.

Hogan, a senior political science major, graduated from Jesuit College Preparatory School before coming to Saint Michael's, located in Burlington, Vermont, one of the top 10 college towns in America.

Hogan's successful grant application proposal, "Intersections of Race and Sexuality in the Campaign for Same Gender Marriage", will be advised by Political Science Professor Michael Bosia. Hogan will receive a stipend of $3,700 to support the summer research.

"I enthusiastically agree with the committee in its judgment of the quality of your proposal," said Dr. Karen Talentino, SMC Vice President for Academic Affairs, in congratulating Hogan on receiving the fellowship.

All Saint Michael's College undergraduate and graduate students participating in paid research or receiving academic credit for research must participate in training in the responsible conduct of research.
